Logan is located in the beautiful Cache Valley. This area was settled by Mormons who wanted to live off the land. The area was endowed with rich soil and good farm land. The Jardine Juniper is near Logan and is thought to be the earth's largest and oldest juniper tree. It is supposed to be 3,000 years old.

Located in Logan Canyon off Hwy 89 and contains more than 500 skiable acres. With an elevation of from 7,200 to 8,840 ft above sea level and a vertical rise of 1,600 feet, Beaver Mountain has three double lifts and 464 skiable acres. It has a good mix of beginner, intermediate and advanced runs. Some of its facilities are a ski shop, ski rentals, a ski school, snowboarding, a day lodge, and a cafeteria.
