Chamber of Commerce.
This area was first known as South Cottonwood. Later, after the mid-1800's, Murray had expanded, adding smelters after the discovery of many ores there. When the railroad came, the area was known as Franklyn, named after a railroad spur. When a post office was established here in 1880, it was named for Eli Murray, a very unpopular territorial governor. The name was never changed. Here is a history page for Murray with more information and details.
