Route 11, through the valley, is the old Valley Pike and is a passageway to many historical sites off the beaten-path as well as quaint and scenic villages and towns. Civil War sites abound!
Winchester and Frederick County, Berryville and Clarke County, Front Royal and Warren County, Shenandoah County, Luray and Page County, Harrisonburg and Rockingham County, Staunton, Hot Springs and The Homestead, Lexington, and the Roanoke Valley are all major places in the Shenandoah Valley - though not at all the only places to see.
