Glendale history:
Glendale was first settled in 1862 by John and William Berry, Mormon pioneers. They named it Berryville. When Indian troubles began to occur in 1866 and some of the Berrys were killed, the townsite was abandoned. It was later re-settled in 1871 by settlers coming back from the Muddy Settlement in Nevada.
