Weather
comfortable most of the year. Temperatures are 11 to 20 degrees cooler than in Tucson. There is very little rainfall here. Snow may fall during the winter, but it is a rare occurance.

The city was founded in 1880 when the Southern Pacific Railroad came through. It was named after Judge William B. Benson, a friend of the president of the railroad.
