The gateway to Zion National Park and scenic Highway 89 is a peaceful community of 2,000 people. Overlooking Pine Valley Mountain, the town with its beautiful vistas is located at the intersection of SR-9 and SR-17. La Verkin was setled in 1891, and was famous for its unique irrigation system and prolific fruit orchards.
