History & History Related Items Lynndyl history: Lynndyl began as a railroad town with the first railroad terminal south of Salt Lake City. By 1911, new settlers came to farm and the little town was called Lynn. The post office later changed the name to Lynndyl, probably due to another Lynn in the state.
